Q:
What happens to my strategic application?
A: The strategic grants are assessed in two parts; the first part is based on
the paperwork submitted. The
Trustees then request that those applications most closely fitting the
criteria are visited for a fuller assessment.
Q: When will I get a decision about my strategic
application?
A: If your proposal meets the
Trustees approval for the second round, you will be contacted during
February for an assessment visit.
It is anticipated that awards
will be made by March.
Q: What happen to my small application
A: Your application will be
assessed by an independent assessor. If your proposal meets the criteria
for funding, they will usually contact you to talk about the project in
more detail. The assessor then prepares a report and recommendation, which
is considered by the Board of Trustees, who make the decision about your
grant application. You will be notified of your decision in writing.
Q:
When will I get a decision about my small application?
A: It is anticipated that awards will be made in mid May.
Q:
Can I apply for more than one grant?
A: Organisations will only be awarded one grant from each grant programme
at one time. You may re-apply for a new grant once you have spent and
reported on any previous grant from Deptford Challenge Trust.
Q:
How long does the funding last?
A: The grant lasts for up to 12 months from the date it is awarded.
Q:
What if my application is turned down?
A: We will give you feedback on the reasons why your application was not
successful. Sometimes, there is not enough money available to fund all the applications,
and we may advise you to re-apply. You may re-apply at any time, but we
suggest you contact the Programme Manager to see how a future application
could be strengthened.
