Recent Small Grant awards include:
Kon-Kon-te Cultural Group received £3,000 to
run Quadrille dance taster courses for young and older members of the
community. Each course will last 6
weeks with the weekly sessions taking place in the evening.
Utophia received £3,000 to employ a sessional
worker to maintain and lead on the promotion of the organisation’s
community fruit and veg garden.
JOY received £4,860 to
continue running 3 exercise classes, seated exercise, tai chi and line
dancing, for elderly isolated members of the community.
Examples of recent Strategic Grants are:
2000 Community
Action Centre
was awarded £23,000 to employ a part-time Community Centre Development
Manager to promote and develop the centre, ensuring the provision of
effective and relevant services to the community.
Be Totally You was awarded
£29,541 to run three 12 week reintegration into work, education or training
courses, targeting residents of the Milton
Court/Woodpecker estate.
Deptford Reach was awarded
£30,000 over three years as a contribution to the staff and running costs,
enabling them to concentrate on the development of the centre over the next
three years.
